Writing

 I am an aspiring writer. In my free time, I like to work on my novel. It's a greater undertaking than I imagined, but I'm excited to see the progress, however slow. The story I am writing has been on my mind and heart since I read The Wild Swans by Hans Christian Anderson. 

As a teen, I worked in our public library, and children's books, particularly the fairy tales, were my favorite books to put away. This book captured my attention, and I have been weaving a story in my mind since I was sixteen. I felt that it was finally time to put the story into words. 

As I've worked at it and learned about the craft of writing, the story has slowly evolved, and I'm so excited by the depth it is developing. I think it's a story worth reading, and I can't wait to share it with you.
